Today, Xiaomi has finally announced a new flagship smartphone – the model Mi 9. The smartphone is similar like Mi Mix 3 but differs in hardware and slightly different design. The smartphone uses a Snapdragon 855 processor and will run MIUI 10, based on the Android 9 Pie. The device was one of the first on the market with new Snapdragon chip, but Mi 9 does not support 5G. RAM can be two options either 6GB or 12GB. The internal storage memory is 256GB.
The design of this smartphone is quite similar like Mi Mix 3. The diagonal of the OLED screen is 6.39 inches. The Mi 9 has an optical fingerprint reader built into the screen.
This is first ever smartphone from the Shenzhen manufacturer to feature a triple rear camera system. The main camera has three photo sensors with 48 megapixels main camera, followed by a 12 megapixel telephoto with a twofold magnification, and the third sensor is wide angle 16 megapixels.
The Xiaomi CEO posted a handful of Xiaomi Mi 9 images on Weibo which feature the device in a Blue version with gradient effect that changes its colour when light hits the device at a certain angle. Another new features that come with Xiaomi is nano scale laser holography process with design of double layer coating to create a unique colour effect.
The smartphone has a wireless fast charge mode with 3300 mAh battery power of 20 W. it approximately takes an hour and fifty minutes to fully charge this way. With fast charging through the cable, the device will receive a full charge in exactly one hour. Xiaomi also offers the option of a mid-range model called the Mi 9 SE which has a smaller 5.97-inches screen and an outdated Snapdragon 712 chip under the hood.
The price of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of memory is $450 (appox Rs.31,950), a version with a transparent back cover, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of memory will cost $600 (appox Rs.42,600). There is also a modification of the Mi 9 SE with a 5.97-inch screen and Snapdragon 712. It’s price is $300 (appox Rs.21,300) 6GB of RAM with 64GB of memory.
